Thank you choroba for your precise answer,
I changed my code to this:
#!usr\bin\perl -w
open HUBFILE,"1048_undefined.tsv";
@hub=();
while(my $line = <HUBFILE>){
while ($line =~ /\d \t (\w+) \t/x) {
push(@hub,$1);
}
}close HUBFILE;
$L=@hub;
open OUT,">hubs.txt";
for($i=0;$i<$L;$i++){
print OUT "HUB:$hub[$i]\n";
}
close OUT;
and i guess something is wrong with the second "while"

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
