This seems to work for this particular instance of my problem:
my @cols;
my @row;
sub hash2csv {
my $h = shift;
my $p = shift || 'top';
foreach my $k ( keys %{$h} ) {
if (ref $h->{$k} eq ref {}) {
hash2csv( $h->{$k}, $k );
} else {
if ( $p eq 'top' ) {
push @cols, $k;
} else {
push @cols, "$p.$k";
}
push @row, $h->{$k};
}
}
}
I wonder why I need Text::CSV::Slurp? Am I missing something? Will the above code break when passed other sorts of data?

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
