Ok. Here is my code:

my $mech = WWW::Mechanize::Chrome->new();
$mech->get('https://metacpan.org/');
my $file_map = $mech->saveResources_future(
    target_file => 'this_page.html',
    target_dir  => 'this_page_files/',
    wanted      => sub { $_[0]->{url} =~ m!^https?:!i },
)->get();
[download]

The only thing that happens is that after loading of the page a folder 'this_page_files' is created. The file 'this_page.html' as well as the resources are not saved anywhere. I hope that information helps.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
