( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

I hear ya.

I guess i am thrown off a bit with the word "pill". What the term for that? When something is added that distracts attention from the main point? Hmm.. Perhaps you can ask it "Given the choice, would you choose to be mortal or immortal?" A number of anime address this question in one way or another. Tuck Everlasting did too.

Of course, there's immortality with and without invulnerability (Highlander, magic), continuous rebirth (phoenix) or regeneration (DBZ's), and a kill switch (devil's wish).

Hmm...perhaps the question can be asked from another angle: Before accepting immortality itself, i also require (more than anything else):

  • Regeneration
  • Rebirth (Phoenix style)
  • (Eternal) Youth
  • Someone to share it with
  • A (self) kill switch
  • A Scottish accent
  • Perl 6
  • I do not want immortality

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
