Hi Monks,
Till up to now i am using manual command to verify the connetvity of hosts using telenet by below command
[usename@servername:/tmp]telnet servername xxxx(port)
after running the above command i use to see the message as connected to server from the output console, once after that i use to type 'ctrl + ]' and telent> q to exit from the telnet session. As this methos is helpful for verifying connectivity for few host. As i need to verify it for 3000 host, it is very tedious task to do it manually for each and it is very time consuming. Dear monks could you please help me how to automate this.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
