If you didn't mean to insult me, or at least if you wish to retract the insult, please feel free to say so and ignore the following. Thanks.

An obvious follow up is: can Jenda? (Another is, can carlosdelrey?)

Sounds like we need a "doing" challenge. Perhaps some programming problems that you, me, and carlosdelrey are to solve. I'm a slow programmer and I only programmed full time from 85 to 87 (using BCPL and 8086 assembler) so you should presumably both put me to shame.

Anyhow, I suggest the monastery collectively picks several (4?) very different problems and we see what happens. When would be a good time for you and carlos? I'm thinking a start date in September would be reasonable.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
