( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
Some of you may have noticed the addition of a new pmdev user group. These users have the ability to see the majority of code that runs the site. This group will have the ability to submit new features and bug-fixes for my approval. Depending on how much actual new code gets pushed my way the process will probably need to become more refined. We'll see how it goes.

If you're interested in it and level 8 or above /msg me and I'll add you to the group. Eventually I'll allow more people to join the group but I want to get a feel for things before I open the floodgates for loads of new development.

Another item of interest that is in the works is the PM-Port project. zdog is working on assembling a team to port PerlMonks from Everything 0.8x to 1.0. 1.0 offers a lot more power. At the least it would be neat to get a downloadable starter site that included PM-like functionality. If you're interested in joining or learning more about this effort /msg zdog.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
