So, I am really wealthy all of a sudden...

Wealth attracts undesirable attention(or so I assume). Attention is not what I desire. Nor would I want to give up my newly attained wealth to avoid attention. What better place than here at the monastery to spend ones time? No one here would know that I am wealthy, yet I would have time to do what I really like: learn Perl.

I suppose that I would spend equal amounts of time here in virtual space and on my farm in meat space. Those are the two places where wealth (or lack thereof) really don't matter, and where no one would be the wiser.

Nice to think about... . One thing though, there is an old anecdote about a farmer who wins the lottery.

He was asked; "what are you going to do now?".

He responded; "Keep on farming til its gone I guess.... ".

I reckon so ...

...the majority is always wrong, and always the last to know about it...
Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
