Try logging the script parameters at the start of the script and a 'goodbye' message at the very end. For runs that get killed you should have the first message logged but not the last; so that'll perhaps give you an insight as to what parameters are involved when you get killed. Of course, if this is a mod_perl or fcgi type persistent environment, it may be the accumulation of many runs that causes death; in which case you would need to monitor and log the size(s) of any globals you use.
