Are there stats as far as posts/quality of posts over time?
I have kept up to date this summary of best nodes reputation from 2007 onwards
which shows that the node reputation of best nodes of the month steadily decreased
from 83-135 votes in March 2007 down to 46-65 votes in Dec 2011.
It has been remarkably stable since then: in Dec 2012
it was 47-64 votes, today it is 40-64 votes.

Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
