I just realized something else. If a mentor is answering all of a newbies questions, the newbie wont be posting those questions and therefore will miss out on some XP. Maybe there should be some facility for the mentor to give their "student" XP for good questions and such.
I hope this isn't getting to complicated. Maybe we should ask our fearless leader if this could or would ever happen before we get too far into it.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
