Dear BrowserUk
In windows os (With ActiveState Perl), If we install Bundle-Gnome2 module. It installs only Bundle-Gnome2 module not all of its required modules (which is Canvas etc..)
I always install Gtk2 modules from http://www.sisyphusion.tk/ppmindex.html repository
I think, it is not possible to bring Gnome Perl modules, Unless we bring Gnome Desktop environment to Windows. Which is very difficult because i dont know any project already running to port Gnome for Windows. (Like http://windows.kde.org/.
Dear Anonymous Monk
Have a look at Gtk2::DrawingArea module , Which is a simple Canvas.
Docs:
1. http://gtk2-perl.sourceforge.net/doc/pod/Gtk2/DrawingArea.html
2. http://www.pygtk.org/docs/pygtk/class-gtkdrawingarea.html
3. http://www.pygtk.org/pygtk2tutorial/ch-DrawingArea.html
Note: Perl Gtk2 module documentation is not good mainly due to they want us to check main stream C documentation. I have a habit to refer python gtk document and use the same method in perl.
Thanks & Regards,
