jbauza, I don't mean to be sarcastic, but you're already in the presence of a large community that does help people with Perl almost 24/7. Why not visit our Tutorials, post questions, read other people's posts, and chat with people here?

I know that some people like to have formal training, but in the mean time, why not take advantage of Perl Monks. Learn from the community... and then share with others. I think you'll be better off in the long run.

It seems to be something of a crap shoot, but you might try checking with your local Perl Mongers (find them on the list of Florida Perl Mongers Groups). Others have also suggested that a local University or community college might be a good place to look (especially if they have an Extension/Continuing Education branch--here I'm thinking of something like UW Extension in Seattle, where you can learn things including Bicycle repair).

You might also try a quick Google search--using Perl Training Florida gives some possibly interesting results.

For reference, this is a good kind of thing to ask about in the Chatterbox (over to your right), rather than posting a node (IMO).

To get the best value for your dollar, check out Learning Perl by our own merlyn. If that seems a little easy check out Programming Perl (version 2 was by merlyn version 3 doesn't have him credited).

I think our fellow monk here was looking for, more or less, classes on Perl. If s/he is anything like me (God help us all), things are best learned by sight and sound.....uh, a teacher. See it done once, bang, it's learned. It too would, be interested in Perl training in Florida, now I just have to find someone to pick up the tab. I'll do some searching today at work!
