What do you mean by that? do you mean when it is run through mod_cgi?

Am not "intentionally" using mod_cgi, so don't know enough to address that part. What I meant by it seeming to work is that when the CGI::Carp qw(name=scriptX) lines are in each registry script, they *were* logging the appropriate script name *until* I introduced precompilation. Either your program runs under mod_perl or mod_cgi or something
