deadpickle has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Im trying to get Net::SFTP::Foreign to work on strawberry perl. Well the truth is I have it installed. But.... I need expect and IO::Tty installed to login, kind of. I can also use a public key to do this. The problem I am having is that I have no clue where to put the public key on my win7 comp. If anyone has any ideas on this let me know please.

http://win32.perl.org/wiki/index.php?title=Compatibility_List_of_Perl_Modules#IO::Tty cannot be used under Win32 due to lack of pseudo-terminals. IO::Tty Windows is now supported, but ONLY under the Cygwin environment, see http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/.	[reply]

You can tell Net::SFTP::Foreign the path to the key as follows: `my $sftp = Net::SFTP::Foreign->new($host, user => $user, more => [-i => $key]);` [download] On Windows, you can also use the Net::SSH2 backend, Net::SFTP::Foreign::Backend::Net_SSH2, that supports password authentication without requiring any other module.
