What's wrong with replies to old nodes? It keeps associated information grouped together nicely. And if you want to be able to readily see such things you can use Newest Nodes which is what Neighbour was suggesting. Many people do, so you need not worry about such comments disappearing into the ether.

Funny, you're missing the point completely :) See Re^2: Make asking questions easier ; request for new superdoc/titlebar.

Its not about replies getting lost.

    Its about asking new questions.

Its about making it easy to ask new questions. As easy as making new replies.

What's wrong with replies to old nodes? It keeps associated information grouped together nicely.

New questions go in SOPW (Where should I post X? )

No, you are missing the point of my comment. You said:
Also, it might reduce replies to old nodes, which should really be new questions in SOPW
There are assumptions there (reawakening threads, etc.), and I was addressing some of them.

Sorry, but I did not miss that point. Those assumptions, reawakening threads, was never implied or assumed, its completely besides my point, that its hard to find where to ask a NEW QUESTION.

Have you never seen replies considered for Move to SOPW/SOPWify...? Don't you think its because they couldn't find where to ask a NEW QUESTION?
