Recently vroom mentioned the Linux World Expo and having anyone from pm.org who is intrested going and hanging out at the pm booth.

Beside nate is anyone else going? I have almost finalized my travel plans for the event and I will be staying with a buddy of mine in the San Fran area. We're going to rent a car for the week and get to the show. If you are planning to go, let me know and maybe we can arrange to meet and/or pick you up for the event.

I'll have to make sure and order a Perlmonk Shirt so I can reprahsent!!! *flex*

Thanks,
djw

I hope to be there along with redmist and h0mee and any other local monks we can hassle into putting in an appearance.

If you are non-local, recommended gear to pack includes a warm jacket and a small diesel generator.

    e-mail neshura

Sounds good! As for the warm jacket, I doubt that will be necessary. I live in Canada and summer starts at -10C. =)

Seriously though, we should all meet up or something. Go to the Expo, party at night, repeat.

      Thanks,

I will be there with bells on per neshura's post. I think I will either be wearing a Viking helmet or a straw cowboy hat. Probably a cowboy hat lest I gouge one of my fellow Comrades in Arms. I am 6'1", 185lbs, Yeti and I like long walks on the beach will be wearing one of several highly amusing ThinkGeek Perl shirts.

    ** update #2 **

I will be in Marin County when I'm there. I will be renting a car to get to the conference centre and I have NO idea what the route is like, but if you are On The Way (tm) please let me know and we shall pick you up!

    Thanks,

I'll be there at least one day, and will plan on hanging out in the booth for a few hours. Time to order that shirt...

Yeah. I'll do my best to be there. Hopefully I'll be able to get a ride or get my parents to let me take Caltrain. Getting out of school is another story ... However, vroom did tell me to bring a tacky-looking cardboard cutout of a monk with its head cut out so people can have their picture taken ... I have yet to find one ...
