I find it interesting that at the present time, the majority answer is 1984. Is the 1984 significance based on the Orwell book? Are respondents looking forward to 2011 to see if time will dispel another author's imagined future? If so, I would expect that would have happened in 2010 - I don't recall a massive space odyssey occurring last year...
Personally, I'm starting a new job in 2011, so chose 'the year I entered college' as akin to such an event. Unfortunately, the new job has absolutely nothing to do with Perl (I almost declined due to that fact, but money talks). Sigh. |
