POE is not deprecated. What is deprecated is PDT's POE::Filter for FS events. The ESL makes that filter obsolete. If you use POE try the "recvEventTimed" method documented here: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Event_Socket_Library#recvEventTimed You can poll for events and handle them as they arrive. -MC
