Well except for includeexpr, all of those options exist in
5.7 which is way more stable. You might find setups that
have those options set that way.
I would think a better resource would be comp.editors or
one of the vim mailing lists for this question, but maybe
someone will come up with what you want.

Thanks, I'll try comp.editors. I wanted includeexpr because it will let me use, say, gf to go to a used or required file directly. In 5.7, there was no way to translate Perl's :: to / or to tack on the .pm.
I came up with this ftplugin file
which works pretty well so far.
