idea for wedding ring inscription?

by Qiang (Friar)

Qiang has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

hello fellow monks, My fiancee is not in the IT field but I would like to get an inscription somehow related to Perl and also understandable to her as well. both of us are Chinese, btw.

only thing I can come up with is "You and I while(1)", probably one ring with "You and I" and the other "while(1)".

anyone?

BTW, 2009 Beijing Perl Workshop is happening on Sep 19!! come visit us.

    Only a minor suggestion:
        You and I while 1
is a slightly 'cleaner' (and still syntactically valid) form of this statement, possibly better suited to 'poetic' expression.

Also: Have you checked out Perl Poetry on this site for inspiration?

while 1 might be replaced by until die for a more dramatic effect ;-)

Maybe you should also display your names somehow. Perhaps something like <c>join 'AND', 'HER_NAME', 'YOUR_NAME', where you could use the Chinese symbol for AND instead of the English word.

Surely together would be better still

      While 1 Until die

      Update

Congratulations and good luck on your up-and-coming wedding.

Just think in 30 years and you will be able to celebrate your Perl Anniversary as we did 5 years ago.

    How about: |\|3rD$ Ph0r L1Ph3?

Kidding! Good luck and congratulations. Creativity and your appreciation for things outside the mainstream will be an asset for both of you in your joint venture.
