HTTP::Request and keep alive

Eyck has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I can't seem to find any sane way of using HTTP::Request to send multiple requests to web server. Is there any other way to send multiple small http requests down single tcp connection?

I can't seem to find any sane way of using HTTP::Request to send multiple requests to web server. HTTP::Request doesn't send any requests. Perhaps you mean LWP::UserAgent. ~~Neither its interface nor its implementation allows this.~~	[reply]

Perhaps you mean LWP::UserAgent. Neither its interface nor its implementation allows this. In theory, there is the `keep_alive` option that sets up an LWP::ConnCache object, which should handle reusing connections. OTOH, LWP::ConnCache is documented as 'experimental', and has quite a number of open bugs, so I'm not sure how stable it is...	[reply] [d/l]

LWP::ConnCache has been 'experimental' since 2001, but it hasn't changed... no "active bugs" mention conncache or keep alive	[reply]
