      Ah - thanks for the clarification.

      I was barking up the wrong tree entirely, because I could only think of "network management" in the sense of "Simple Network Management Protocol" (SNMP). In that context it's more about fault detection and correction, which doesn't make a great deal of sense when talking about distributed event notification.

      I can rest easy again. ;-)
