Chilled real ale? No, no, no. Cellar temperature, slightly below room temperature. But not chilled. Never chilled.
Btw, there hasn't been any naturally conditioned Guinness (bottle or cask) for many years, anywhere, even Dublin (where sales are falling). Pasteurised (killed) and injected with nitrogen, I hate the stuff.
If anyone tells you that they like a certain pub because "they serve a nice pint of Guinness" then you know they don't know what they are talking about. It is all the same, Diageo ("the world’s biggest drinks group") has spent a lot of money making it that way. Weep.
Nationalise the breweries!
