Experienced BS2000 (main frame) programer, which happened not to have the money to buy a main frame :-) That's the way I finally came to Perl. I lost my job and so I started as a free lancer. In my spare time in the 1990ies I got a Linux box running and first tried to learn C. Well, the way from COBOL-85 to C was a little steep and so I started 1991 with a book to learn Perl. The Camel book followed and then about half a dozend more, the last one the real amazing from Damian Conway. I wrote some tools for my users, some dialogues, some database listers... I'm from Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
