Disabling JS will probably help in loading a complete page.
But there is a 2nd script (/cssrules.js) which controls the filter settings on the right ("preferences"). I do not see a way to use that filters, without JS enabled at the moment.

What happens if you disable javascript before viewing?
That fixes the immediate problem on Firefox - I can't see how to enable/disable javascript on IE7. (If I can access it on Firefox I don't really care about IE7 :-)

That's why I still prefer Opera. Since the very beginning all these configuration options are just a mouse click away.
With my restricted bandwidth it makes the web usable, with the benefit that I don't see adverts or wait for 5 minutes for 200kb flash downloads that eventually say; "Click here to enter our website".
