    Hi can u pls write as human being who can properly communicate in English, which in turn is the proper exchange language in this forum? Incidentally, can you use <code> tags as well?

    The line you wrote means: "insert $number at the end of the anonymous hash which is associated with $key" and the lower-cased first two characters of $ARGV, the filename of the current handle being iterated over."
