I'm not a big fan of places that have an "auto-email" feature (it can be abused too easily), so my vote goes for either 1) Good old cut-and-paste 2)Sending the URL of the page.

On that note, perhaps a link could be added to the end of each page to allow easy bookmarking and copying of the URL without all the extra stuff (such as lastnode_id etc.) ?? I've seen this at other places - basically a simple URL that let's you refernce the current page easily.

    I agree. The main use I would have for this feature, however, is to mail things to myself, since there are some things I like to have in my local DB of perl expertise (makes it easier to search, etc.).

    So what about this: make the feature only available to registered users, and make the feature a "mail to myself" thing, which automatically send the message/thread to the user as which you are logged in.
