beretboy, first of all: please be more descriptive in your titles so as not to pollute the database with generic names like "networking".

that said, this is a tall order. you'll need to have a server process and that will more than likely have children to handle connections. I would suggest by reading up on some of the networking modules like IO::Socket::INET, fork and read MP3 server with IO::Socket for a look at how other are doing this. You could also look in the camel3 since they have some nifty examples in there of stuff like this. I think you'll find that managing the sessions will be the biggest trick. good luck.
