Babbage difference engine -- hah! I'm older than all of you! Actually, the first machine I programmed was an IBM 370. I was taking a special math class in junior high school and they let us program the school district computer. Turn in your cards and get a printout back in about a week. The first computer I owned was an Apple ][, much like yours. 64K with the Pascal card, single floppy.
