Ex construction worker and landscape gardener until I ripped my clavicle ligament.

I was always curious about computers and am a self-taught Perl monger so I've been in Unix admin, support and development roles for the last 50lbs and entertain myself by pottering about the garden @ the weekends.

Currently work involves supporting a suite of servers in C/C++ and Tomcat based UIs on Linux and Solaris as well as some general Unix administration support. Occasionally fun and I'm getting around to not hating Java quite so much ;).

Messing about with Rakudo @ the moment and finding it interesting so far.
