Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Is there a good guestbook with admin capabilities to remove entries and answer to postings.

No matter based on flat file or SQL database.

Thanks.

I think you need to decide what you're looking for: if you want to reply to postings, do you want to just be able to edit and remove entries, or have a fully fledged discussion board?

Discusware - i was gonna write my own bulletin board before I found this - Very easy to install, great for guestbook as well, although if that's all you need it for it may be a bit of a sledgehammer :)

I start thinking that guestbooks is the point where not_reinventing_the_wheel ends. So, every person who just want average guestbook should write his/her own? How many different guestbooks we need?

No, I think it's not what I looking for. I need standalone guestbook, not the engine for the whole site. Yes, I can write my own, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel.
