What does this do and why?

Guess before running it.

Why stop there?

perl -pimple perl -dimple

    There's no need to guess - it's all documented in perlrun.

    I personally believe that although I ++'d your post, you should have chosen a better section and a better phrasing, since SoPW is for actual questions (typically with problems one is experiencing) while yours is more of a fun thing, which is a nice thing also - but better fit elsewhere.

      Fair call. I didn't think about it at the time.
