grashoper has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I am trying to make the contents of a tab on my site load, it says I cannot do via javascript as I can't have a script block within another block (perl script) , how would i generate an onclick event with perlscript, using asp and activestate perl on iis. I realize I could close the script and open a javascript in the middle but don't want to do this. any suggestions welcome. actually cannot find the file to reference as this site is being generated via xml etc, I can't find any reference to the image name anywhere.I tried creating a javascript to force the page to reload which would basically accomplish what I am after but I get this error. Nested Script Block /base/base.asp, line 433 A script block cannot be placed inside another script block.

Your question is hard to understand (esp. late on a Friday, patience is thin). Perhaps this node would help you get your point across.

If I understand what you're trying to do, maybe you need to look at Ajax? There are some Perl interfaces on CPAN I believe. You might look at those.

I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code
