Mechanize and Post?

by Anonymous Monk
on Sep 17, 2007 at 19:26 UTC ( [id://639465]=perlquestion: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I know the issue or lack of support for javascript that www::Mechanize has so I've installed live-headers for firefox and done some research. The final result I end up with is a simple URL that I need to post using my exsiting instance of mechanize (while I'm logged in).
Does any one have any ideas how I might accomplish this?

Thanks in advance

    $mech->post( $url, $field_name => $value,... Content => $content );

        So is it as simple as something like this:
        my $url = 'http://somewebsite?with_form_data'; $mech->post( $url );
        using my current $mech object?
