++, I feel you summed up what many of us think, but haven't put it into words (or a post). Anytime someone says "Perl is dead", I send them a link to PM. I usually don't get a response back, which is the best response we could hope for. I've been on PM for 7 years and I love how it really hasn't changed much since then, which is one of the "features" I like best.
