That is true but I was more interested on the request by the OP on "Ideas on how to improve the Tutorial solicitation process are also welcome". Moreover, I think that a private message is good for comments like: "I would love a tutorial on topic X" but it would not be as good, IMHO, for the cases in which the sender would like to describe an idea in greater detail. Anyways, those are just my 2 cents.

Tutorials have been neglected in the past.

There have been calls for reading (Overlooked Gems) and calls for action (Rethinking Tutorials).

An announced course of action was lost in the mist of time.

It seems to me that what was requested in Rethinking Tutorials is still very much valid.

Don't forget Keeping Tutorials Current. I am pretty sure planetscape and a few others have tried to ensure that the same situation doesn't happen moving forward but I haven't re-ran that code to be sure.

The Tutorials section is now fairly well maintained by an active committee, so the problem your script attempts to help resolve has been pretty well resolved. And I should point out that linking meditations nodes into Tutorials is a matter of resolved policy (though it could change), so it doesn't do us any good to tell us we have meditations linked in Tutorials.

The only foreseeable need for your script will be when (if) we go back and convert all the crappy unlisted tutorial nodes into something else (probably Meditations).
