mifflin has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I've got a Tk program on my desktop called dapify.pl. When I dbl click on it two windows appear. The Tk application and a cmd window with "C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe" in the titlebar. How do I run my perl Tk app with that cmd window auto minimized?

If you create a shortcut to your script and go to the shortcut's properties you can specify whether the cmd window starts as a Normal window, Minimized or Maximized. If you do not want it to appear at all, use wperl.exe.
