there are more opinions than facts in programming and software engineering. Ain't that the truth. In life too I guess, but nowhere more evident that in programming. And there is a strange phenomena in CS/programming whereby the more plaudits an individual receives for their opinions, the more likely they (the individual), tend to view their own opinions as facts. Examine what is said, not who speaks -- Silence betokens consent -- Love the truth but pardon error.
"Science is about questioning the status quo. Questioning authority".
In the absence of evidence, opinion is indistinguishable from prejudice.
