I have had excellent success with Thread ... Please note that the Thread module is old and defunct. It only worked with Perl's circa 5.6.x. For anything newer than that, you should be using (and advising the use of) threads. Examine what is said, not who speaks -- Silence betokens consent -- Love the truth but pardon error.
