So you logged out and posted yourself a happy-birthday, jesuashok? There are thousands of PerlMonks. Imagine if everyone did that; we would need a special Birthday section. Congratulations for arriving at 30. Let's not start a birthday trend here though; the off-topic traffic is already high enough.

      In fact, we do have a special birthday section.

      But that is really a side project. OTOH having a separate PM section for birthdays is not reasonable nor desirable, but there may well be a single long lasting thread for those interested, in the same vein as name space - not that I'd encourage that, eh! BTW: are there more threads like name space? Are they "advertised" somewhere?

        It's a bit different from that thread, but another very long fun thread is the poll ideas quest.

    I agree with you: We should not have a birthday section. Now, IMHO if people wants to bring an upcoming birthday to our attention, they should do it in the chatterbox. Wait... right, they can not do it as "Anonymous" monks ;-)
