This has almost the status of a FAQ, albeit concerning various different tools. The following nodes found using Super Search with "executable script extract" in SoPW may serve as a starting point: Extract a script from a perl2exe executable? and Decompile PerlApp.

    Well, thanks for replies... Onestly, I didn't use SuperSearch (only the normal one). But following the links you have kindly posted, it does not help as well... These posts seem to have at least few years. Something changed since then? I used Active State PDK 6.0 to create exe file.
