    Perhaps you are missing the bigger issue. Hows about not assuming things, and checking their terms of service?

    I was pointing out to you that you are not supposed to be doing what you are trying to do.
      I apologize for using strong language, that was not necessary. I was using them as a first cut to an experiment. Unfortunately none of the available translation systems currently produce very usable results for a wide range of languages. But before I go to the trouble of building a custom-tailored system I thought it would be useful to get some results with available resources. And it makes more sense to use perl than to hassle with a new API I don't plan on using extensively.
