There may even be categories and special awards, if you want to suggest some.

I'm struggling a bit to find some sensible categories. Some possible categories:

  • Best joke module in the perl core. less.pm by TimToady?
  • Earliest pre-Acme joke module. Is this Tim again for less.pm? Or perhaps D'oh by C.Nandor. Or an early variation of merlyn's sh2perl?
  • First Acme module. I think the winner here is TheDamian with Acme::Bleach.
  • Acme module with the highest/lowest kwalitee rating.
  • Smallest Acme module.
  • Largest Acme module.

Also, you might get some ideas from Most fascinating but *not really* useful modules.

Replies are listed 'Best First'.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that “nothing is worth war” is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. -- John Stuart Mill
