my dollar girlfriend

by azatoth (Curate)
on Feb 01, 2001 at 21:14 UTC ( [id://55749]=poem: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

#!/usr/bin/marriage -w # # More Haiku from the pen of Azatoth my dollar girlfriend; # has become my fiance; my dollar smile grows;

I got engaged last weekend. Yay me! This poem expresses how i felt, in a pseudo-code / linguistic-style thing.

Hope you like it!

    I believe you may have a problem with
    #!/usr/bin/marriage -w
    because /usr/bin/marriage blocks all warnings. You can only see the errors when the program has crashed.

    Congrats, though.

      You also forgot to use strict. Though never having been married, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. ;^)

      Congratulations, azatoth!

    Many congrats azatoth !
    You have now entered the domain of "taken men". Because we girls know - "all the good ones are taken"! Engagement is fun though :) Enjoy your bachelorism while you can! =D

    Azaroth, Wonderful news! I got engaged about 2 weeks ago as well. Unfortunately I don't possess the Perl poetry skills that you do, but you hit the nail right on the head. CONGRATULATIONS!!! - kel -

    I take it as Perlmonks we only have to promise chastity to Perl and not in general.

    Congrats! They say that marriage is one of the biggest events in one's life, right up there with a fork.

    I offer my congratulations, and a reminder, that you can at last delete Bone::Easy from your CPAN directory. Or at least, you should... ;)
