No kidding! Wow, this is the first time I've heard of anyone using FOCAL "in the wild". Although it's not the first language I used (that would be Fortran on a CDC 6600), running FOCAL was part of a test for the first computer hardware I built. The hardware class at my college involved building a PDP-8 emulator, and you had to be able to calculate 300! (factorial) correctly using FOCAL on your machine to pass. Those were the days....
