BTW There are many solutions to even just your example: I know but I think I have represented an optimal solution (3 bins) and a solution that would fit the criteria for the puzzle (4 bins). Do you have a meteric in mind for which of the solutions I just provided is best? If any solution exists that exceeds 4 bins that would be the answer but if there are ties any will do. Cheers - L~R
