You might take a look at the Win32::Internet module. In particular, the ControlReceiveTimeout [value], ControlSendTimeout [value], DataReceiveTimeout [value] & DataSendTimeout [value] functions. Examine what is said, not who speaks -- Silence betokens consent -- Love the truth but pardon error.
