    Konnichi ha

I was quite sure that should've been "wa"... am I that wrong? :-)

Konnichi ha means "Good day" whereas Konnichi wa means "Good Afternoon", so on a forum like this where people could see the message at anytime of the day the former would be more appropiate.

Update: also the last character in Konnichi "wa" (こんにちは) is は which is actually the hiragana character for ha. :)

We're planning to have an interpreter for every popular session (for 200 people), and even on the 2nd day we'll have English only hours on a smaller room (80+ people).
Er, that was me. Not sure why I was recognized as Anonymous.

    And "kutsu" means shoe(s). . .

    Merlyn, even without the interpreters:
Japanese are generally taught English writing in school, not pronunciation. You can likely get a written point across even though the spoken word will give them trouble.

yes, but my name is 苦 痛. As I've already stated elsewhere :).
