Given a recent thread about integrating existing C/C++ code into Perl, an article on SWIG over at Developers.com may be of interest.

Hope this helps, -gjb-

Update: this article was announced today via Developers.com's mailing list I subscribed to.

How old is that article, I wonder? Personally, I wouldn't recommend anyone to go near nsPerl 5.005_03 with a barge pole! ActiveState Perl isn't even mentioned.

Can anyone give me the pros and cons of using SWIG over XS or Inline::C, given that I'm not interested in writing a generic wrapper for Python, tcl, etc.
